Happy Halloween

No sooner was James awake this morning than he had his costume of for the day.  Gotta love that kid!  We started the day off with a delicious breakfast on our Halloween plate.  We needed our energy for every thing we had to do.
Sam asked if I would dress up for his Class Halloween Party, so I got my costume together and made sure it worked.
No sooner did I take it off and turn my back then I had a little costume snatcher! :)  It's a good thing she's so stinking cute.
We decorated our house for our Traditional Halloween dinner with our cousins.  The kids decided we needed lights this year, so lights it was.  I think it turned out pretty darn well.
We even got our apple muffins and hot cocoa ready for so our tummies would be warm when we came in from trick-or-treating.
Soup in our pumpkin bread bowls is always a perfect dinner to send us out warm and happy.
All the kids couldn't wait to get going, so it was one more quick photo...(Sam is Iron Man, James is Wolverine, and Chloe is Cheerbear)
...and then off to the races!
Another successful Halloween filled with great memories!

Sam's Class Halloween Party and Parade

So While Chloe was at her Halloween Dance Party, James and I headed to Sam's school to do his Class Halloween Party.
Between the Ward Halloween Party and Sam's Class Halloween Party I have put together some pretty fun Halloween games.   I wish I hadn't been so busy running games that I could have snapped some shots.  Next time...
Here are all the fun games I've put together.
Ghost Guessing and Monster Mash

Monster Dice and Halloween Charades
Halloween Bingo and Tic Tac Toe
Pin the Tail on the Black Cat and Witch's Brew
Don't Eat Pete and Roll and Jack-o-lantern
Mousey Mouse Putt Putt and Halloween Four Square
Spider Web Ghost Walk and Halloween Relays
 Pumpkin Toss and Halloween Bowling
Witch's Hat Ring Toss and Ghost Target Practice
 Halloween Tray Memory

We didn't have time to play all of them at his class party, but that just means there will be some fun new ones for next year.  I can't wait.  I just love a good party! (oh, and so did the kids)! :)
After the party James and I got to stay to watch Sam in the Costume Parade.  It was fun to see him and his friends in their different costumes.

Halloween Dance Party

Chloe got to have a Halloween Dance Party today.  She has been so excited about it.  Grandma M got to take her while I went to Sam's school with James for his Class Halloween Party.  Chloe said they got to play fun games and do spooky dances to fun Halloween music.  Thank you Grandma M for making it possible for her to go.  I just couldn't let her miss this, and the pictures Grandma took showed me why.  So cute!

Nightmare Express

Joy invites us down every year for the Halloween Train that her friends put on.  It is a fun time to go out together as a family and have a good time.  The wait this year was brutal.  We didn't end up getting on the train until after dark, which made us sad, because after dark they make it more spooky.  The kids handled it pretty well, but didn't care for the scary parts.
Hopefully next year we'll get on earlier and enjoy it more.  (At least we were with good company!)

Poor little guys were so tuckered out after such a long fun day that I think it took less than 5 minutes for them to fall asleep in the car.

Dad's Trick-or-Treat

We love our annual trick-or-treat at Dad's work.  He gets to show off how cute we are and we get yummy candy!  They kids were excited to wear their costumes and get treats.
My favorite part of the trip was watching James, I mean Wolverine, drag his claws on anything he could!  Always in character! :)

Which Witch do you like Best?

I had a fun night taking James and Chloe with me to Gardener Village to see the Witches.  We had fun walking around spotting them doing the silly things they do.

After spotting all our spooky friends we went to the main square and played.  I could have sat under this huge tree lite in green lights for hours.  It was so beautiful.  It was the perfect night to be out enjoying the cool fall breeze.
 I love my little adventurers!

Chili Cook Off

Last year when I was in the Primary Presidency we were over the Ward Halloween Party.  It was fun, but I really wanted to do the Christmas party, so I had them get it for this year.  Well, I was released and the Primary wasn't happy that I had chosen Christmas, especially since I was called into Relief Society and I would now be doing the Halloween Party again.  oops! :)
It was a lot of fun (as usual).   I didn't have much to do with anything but the games.  It was fun to run them again.  We were a little more organized that last year so that was good.  We still have some improvements to make, but at least there weren't kids running the halls loose and crazy.  That's one of my biggest pet peeves.  I hate when kids are crazy and free and running with no supervision, so everyone had a station to be at and I made sure they stayed there and out of trouble.
