Easter with Tressa and Krista

We had a fun Easter this year and were excited that we got to have Tressa and Krista here with us.  The Easter bunny went all out this year and spoiled us rotten.
Sam scored some Legos (of course) and some much desired new Charlie Brown Shows.
James got the remote controlled car he has been wanting forever, an Angry Toothbrush and a cool Star Wars Lego movie.
Chloe got the Mickey Clubhouse Plushes she's been wanting, plus girl Legos, a Strawberry Shortcake Movie, and nail polish.
Tressa and Krista got some nail polish, hair things, movies, and a basket full of quarters they had to find in the grass!

Chloe wasted no time waking Tressa and Krista up so they could see their baskets and play with her.  She loved being doted on; getting her nails painted and her Legos built for her.

I tried to do some fun things for our Easter dinner, but they more just turned out funny more than anything.  I attempted some "bunny rolls" (they more looked like creepy mice) and some "carrots" with my chocolate covered strawberries, but I didn't have enough orange food coloring.  Oh well, pink is cute, right?! :)

The meal thankful turned out edible in the end.  With yummy ham and potatoes, green beans and deviled eggs to go with the mouse rolls and pink strawberries we survived! :)
Next it was on to an Easter Egg Hunt.  Seth and Tressa and Krista had fun hiding all the eggs.  Seth thought he was pretty funny putting an egg that looked like a chicken on the BBQ.
And they're off...the kids wasted no time running around grabbing as many eggs as they could and stuffing them in their bags.

I didn't quite get around to dying Easter eggs with my kids this year, but thankfully Aymee, next door, saved the day.  She invited the kids over Saturday for a fun Easter egg dying party.  They loved it and had a blast.

Happy Birthday Haley

We had fun going down to Haley's Minnie Mouse Birthday Party.  I got to make a fun "Don't Eat Minnie" game that we got to play and the kids got to wear their fun Mickey and Minnie Clothes from Disney world, so they were really excited.

The kids each picked out a treat they thought Haley would like and then they "helped" me make a Minnie Lego for her.  She loved it.  Chloe was so exited to give it to her, but then was a little sad when she realized we were really giving it to her and that she couldn't keep it.

McDonald's Monster

I took the kids to McDonald's for dinner since Seth as at school and we haven't done very much lately due to my back, so they were VERY excited.  While playing there was this Dad there that was playing and chasing all the kids around for like a half hour.  My kids were loving it.  It made for a nice, relaxing trip for me.  Thanks random Dad for letting this Mom put her feet up and relax for a while.

Close Up and Personal

I've been trying to figure out my new camera and today I had fun stocking my children around the house trying out different modes and things.  I love these little faces!!
Sam in deep saturated tones.
 James with soft lines.
 Chloe with bright light.
 Snuggles...just because she's cute. :)

Craft Day

We were given a challenge by our Primary President to pray about who we should reach out to in our primary and do something with/for them.  I have been feeling really strongly about these two little girls.  They are so sweet and I am so glad I had them over for a fun Saturday morning Craft time so we could get to know each other better.  McKenzie and Amara are sweet girls and we had fun making bows and having some quality girl talk.  They were cute and even included Chloe in the fun.
I wasn't one of Amara's favorite people before this, but now when I'm not at church people have told me she asks where I am and she says hi to me in the hallways and gives me a hug.  I am very grateful for inspiration and how it can guide us if we will just ask.

Top 'o the Mornin' to ya

What a fun St. Patrick's Day we had today!  We got ready this last week by making treats and games for friends and doing a fun craft to decorate our house with.

Then the magic really happened when we woke up to the trap our Leprechauns had left us.  We had fun trying to get down the stairs.

At the bottom of the stairs we found a treasure hunt waiting for us.  And off we went...
 First to the laundry room
 Then to the toy room
 Off we go
 Then back upstairs
 Then downstairs
 Then to the basement
 What?  Back upstairs okay.
 Here it is.
 Score!!
Then it was on to the goodies Mom and Dad left for the kids.

 Happy St. Patrick's Day!
