Halloween 2012

Ever since we've lived here we have hosted Halloween for my side of the family.  It has always been so fun and we just love it.  We always have yummy soup in pumpkin bread bowls followed by hot chocolate and apple muffins that warm us up perfectly after a fun night of Trick-or-Treating.

Sam had a fun time being Superman.  His cousin showed up as Superman too.  What little cuties.
James was so proud of his Zombie costume.  He declared months ago that he wanted to be a Zombie, and true to my word, we figured it out and he was the cutest little Zombie I have ever seen.
Chloe was a puppy (of course).  She just loved being Snoopy.
Joy, Cindy, Haley, Taya, and I all had the same idea.  Witch!  It was fun to see all our striped legs in different colors!

Frightmares at Lagoon

Last year we decided that this was a must as a Halloween tradition for us. Frightmares at Lagoon is the best. We went on a perfect night. There was practically no one there and there was only a slight chill that night.
from the fun decor to the smog to the rides to the not-so-spooky haunted houses our kids declared it to be one of the best nights of their lives! :)

I absolutely LOVE these shots of us on Puff. We all got on there and had a great time.

I think my boys thought this lady was crazy. It was so funny to watch them dance with her.

There are Witches Everywhere!

We had a great time going to Gardner Village with our Friends.  The kids had a great time finding the witches and seeing what they were up to.  From flying, walking with huge ugly toads, going to the bathroom, fishing, dancing, playing the piano....there was fun all around.

I absolutely love this shot of the kids.  James and Chloe just love posing for pictures and Sam, as usual, didn't want anything to do with it.

 Somer, James, and Johnny

Sam and James pretending to be scared of the huge spider.  So cute!

Shopping Buddies

James and Chloe are my shopping buddies.  We like to get our errands done early in the morning because the stores are usually empty and we can go at our own pace.  During our trips I always try to give them some time to check out the toy aisles.
Today for some reason they were cracking me up more than usual.  James found this awesome doll scooter that he play strong man with.  He was so proud of himself for being able to lift it above his head.
Chloe was just playing mom.  It was so cute to see her pushing these carts around and analyzing things on the shelf and deciding what to buy and what not to.
I love my little ones and love that they keep me smiling each day.

It's The Nightmare Express Time!

For Family Night we decided to head down to my sister's neck of the woods and ride the Nightmare Express.  They took us last year and we loved it.  We wish we could have gotten there sooner in the month so it wasn't as busy, but our China trip put a lot of things on hold.
We loved seeing all the new decorations and activities they had this year.  The kids had a great time playing ski-ball.  James had a hard time understanding the whole "rolling the ball" concept.  Everyone around us quickly learn to shield their faces and stand back after a few balls ricocheted around.

Captain Jack Sparrow was even this year and we had a great time getting on this ship and hanging out with him.

After what seemed liked forever we finally boarded the train and we ready for our spooky adventure.  We sure do love Halloween!

Up to Idaho

So, without even being fully unpacked or organized from your China trip, we are off to Idaho for the weekend.  Seth's sister's newest daughter, Libby, was getting blessed and we were excited for some family time.  The kids love going to their cousin's house and couldn't wait to be there.  There were especially excited when they found out we got to sleep in  the trailer!
James LOVED baby Libby and would have help her all day if we would have let him.  It was so cute to see.
Chloe had a great, but rough trip.  She just has a hard time remembering that she is younger and smaller than all the big kids and she usually ends up remembering the hard way....literally.  Good thing Grandpa was there to console her!

I had to get shots of my cute kids.  The boys got some snazzy new church clothes and looked so dapper and old!  Chloe always looks cute and fit right in with her handsome brothers.
