Bear Lake (Again)

We never get tired of getting away to bear lake and doing the same things we do every time we go.  We stole Madi for part of the trip this time and showed her some of our favorite things to do.
We started at the boardwalk and were so excited when we found a deer path.

Then it was off to the park to get some of our wiggles out.

In the morning before heading to the beach we we had to get a yummy breakfast at the Lodge.
The rest of the day was spent sunbathing,
 Playing in the trailer,
 And playing in the water.
As you can see, the day was well spent and there wasn't an ounce of energy left.  Chloe couldn't even finish the M&Ms! ;)

Jack

Sam has become quite the socialite these days.  I love that he is branching out and meeting new friends.  This is Jack.  He is a Lego lover at heart and he and Sam have a great time together spending hours down in the Lego room creating new adventures.

Sam the School Man

Just a moment that needed to be caught and recorded.  How precious is it that my kids were cuddled up together before bed while Sam was reading his books to them.
Sam had to take a binder to school.  He didn't want to have to do it so I thought we'd make it fun for him.  Once I suggested that we write his name in Legos it was amazing how quickly his mind changed.  Suddendly it wasn't a bother to have to get a school binder, rather it was the most exciting new adverture.

Cookies, Chalk, and Bikes

It was a fun afternoon today filled with yummy cookies, beautiful chalk pictures and fun bike races.  It was one of those perfect summer afternoons where the weather was just right to enjoy being outside with friends.

Selfies

These are what we found on my camera when Seth and I came out our our interviews this morning.  The next generation of selfies has begun!

For your Viewing Pleasure

As I was running around the house this morning getting things cleaned up and ready for the day I had to stop and smile as I found Chloe just sitting there contently watching a show with all her puppies.  What a little doll!

Dad's Work Party

We went to the most beautiful park tonight for Seth's work party.  It was in American Fork and the trees were huge and gave off so much beautiful shade.  The party was great.  There was yummy BBQ and so many fun games and activities.
The kids loved all the bounce houses, except for when one of them got unplugged while Chloe was in it and we had to rescue her before it completely collapsed.
The highlight of the night was definitely the balloon artist.  He was amazing and could make you whatever you could dream up.  The kids ended up with a sword, a tommy gun, and a crown.

Movie Nights

It's no news to anyone that we love our jammies in this house.  Well, now the kids can't wait for Friday nights.  It has now been dubbed movie night.  They get to get in their jammies early, pick a fun drink, and eat all the popcorn they want while they watch a movie.
I love that weekends have more meaning to Sam now that he is in school.  It makes staying up late and sleeping in such a treat.  He really is growing up!

Twin Falls

This weekend we got to head up to Twin Falls for Seth's cousin's wedding.  We had a blast.  This is where Seth's mom is from and where she and his dad met so it was fun to have them take us around to their old favorite restaurants and drive us to the old down town and show us where the old theater was where they met.
Chloe really enjoyed dinner at their favorite little italian place.  She had fun making a napkin bed for her new My Little Pony.
One the kids favorite things about going on a trip is the hotel.  They love hotels.  Especially if they have a pool.  They swam all day everyday with their cousins and had a blast.

Seth celebrated his birthday while we were there and the boys picked a great present for him...a ninja turtle play set that they were sure he would just love.  So the weekend was spent watching ninja turtle cartoons and playing with the new play set.

The wedding was beautiful.  It was held at Shoshone Falls.  It started late and it was hot so the kids kept busy checking out all the views of the beautiful falls, finding bugs, falling and getting dirty, and dumping bottles of water on their heads.

Grandma M took James to the little visitor center/gift shop and got him a new fun hat.  And yes, that is a skunk on his head.  I'm not sure if that is a step up or down from the scraggly Santa hat or not?! :)
With all the new ninja turtle excitement and the killer skunk hat we felt Chloe needed a little something.  She just about died of joy when she saw the bag and shoes we got her.  So cute.  She is ALL girl that's for sure!  A girl always remembers the day she got her first pair of heels! ;)
We just had to get one last shot in before we left.  We always love seeing the Snake River that we have to pass over on the huge bridge to get into and out of town.  Fun trip for sure!

And That's Why I Work Alone...

When I peeked out the back window this morning I couldn't resist heading out to grab a shot of my cute little James in today's get-up.  Of course the Santa hat, followed by the ninja turtle mask and pajamas, finished off with his snow boots.
I absolutely love this picture.
When Chloe saw me taking pictures of James she wanted in the action.

When I was showing the pictures to the kids James said, "that's why I work alone."!! :)  I guess he thought the pictures of just him were much better! ;)
