Disney on Ice

Chloe and I had our first Mommy/Daughter day today.  We went and saw Disney on Ice -princess style.  She was so excited to go and got all dressed up for the occasion.
On our Disney World Trip in January all Chloe wanted to do was see Rapunzel, which didn't happen, so we were super excited that she was one of the stories they were doing in the show today.
The show was great.  It was the stories of Tiana (which Chloe didn't really care for and just kept asking, "where's Rapunzel?!"), Cinderella (which kept her attention, after Cinderella is her second favorite), and Rapunzel (you couldn't get a word out of her during this one).  It was beautifully done and even have Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald coming in between shows and doing little skits.

 Opening Act
Tiana in Princess and the Frog

 Cinderella

 Rapunzel in Tangled

Finally with all the princesses and their princes.

The show was amazing and the special effects and artistry of it all was wonderful.  After so much fun my little princess feel asleep within minutes of being in the car!

A Visit to the Past

We had a fun and unexpected day today.  It started off by a fun visit to my sister-in-law, Cindy's house.  The kids love going there and seeing their cousins and their pets.  They have the cutest bunny who is so sweet.
Then Seth called and invited us down to lunch.  We had a great time going out together.  It was especially sweet because we have been stuck at home so long being sick.
On the way home I felt like I should go visit the old school where I taught and say hi to my old colleagues.  So off we went to North Salt Lake.
It was so fun to take my kids to my old stomping grounds and talk to them about the days when I was a teacher before they were born.  They had a great time seeing all the classrooms (especially my old one) and meeting my friends and playing on the playground.  I was especially excited that I got to see my good friend Margaret.  She was my best friend there and my mentor.  She and I had such good times teaching together for those 3 years and she taught me so much.
While there I learned from her that she had had an especially hard week and a had had very bad experience.  She said my stopping by lifted her spirits and made her week.  I was so glad that I had followed the feeling I had had to go see her.

First Braids

While brushing out Chloe's curls this morning I realized how long her hair has gotten and decided to try some braids.  They turned out so cute.  She was so patient as I did her hair and the reward was that she got to have TWO bows!  What a big girl!

James called Sam stupid so Sam retaliated. :)  I'm so glad they're learning how to work these things our for themselves. :)

Baseball Frenzy

Sam has decided that he is going to be a baseball player.  We think his new found love for the game has stemmed from his love for watching Charlie Brown and the fact that he plays baseball.  Sam is out there 3 or 4 times a day having up pitch to him so he can learn to hit home runs.  He has a great eye and makes some pretty good contact.  If we could just get him to work on his arm a little more he'd be ready for spring baseball.

A Lego Weekend

We finally did it.  We finally dumped our HUGE Lego bin and organized it.  James has really wanted a "Robin-mobile" like his Bat-mobile.  Well, they don't make one, so I thought, no problem, I can make one, we have tons of extra pieces.  Well, having a lot of pieces doesn't make it easy if they are all mixed together.  So, that did it.  We had to do something about it, so we did.  It took probably about 5 or 6 hours, but we got it done.  It is so nice to finally have it all organized and put away so that we can actually use them when needed.

Do you know how long it takes to find all the people and their parts?!?!
Now all we have to do is organize their Lego closet and rebuild sets that have been broken.  Yeah for us! :)

Here's my Robin-mobile.  I know, pretty amazing, right?!  Thankfully James as happy with it, because that's about as good as I get on my own!

The kids also got their Lego Club Magazines in the mail this weekend.  They are so funny.  I love how they just study them and have to look at everything in them.  I remember being their age and loving getting mail.

Sending Grandma our Love

One of our most favorite things to do lately is FaceTime with Grandma and Grandpa T.  They are in Spain right now and we are so glad, that even though they are 1,000s of miles away, we can still see them and talk to them daily if we want.  Whenever something exciting happens the kids now ask if we can call Grandma and Grandpa T and tell them.  I just love that!
We decided that it was been WAY too long since we had sent them anything so we got to work.  I made some cute little holiday crafts to send to my mom to do and the kids made them great Easter crafts.  Sam made a chick that said "Happy Easter", James made a birdie, and Chloe made a bunny.  I then had to make my dad a bike.  He is always teasing me that I never get his bike pieces in the packages I send him, so we thought this would be funny.
We just can't wait until they get it now so we can see if they like it all.
