Bipedal Chloe

She is no longer a quadraped(as Sam would say-thank you animal atlas)! Chloe is walking. She has been taking some steps here and there and this last week, and I am pleased to say, she got it.
She still has a lot of ups and downs, but she is quite the pro. I love that she is walking now. It is so much easier to take her places and keep her cleaner! Whatever you do though, don't try to help her. She will have your head! :)
First video from Friday, second from Sunday.

Big Girl in a Big Seat

Chloe is SOOOO much happier now that she is old enough and big enough to graduate to a front facing car seat. We put her in it and she just started giggling and being giddy. It was so cute. She Just looked all around. She can now see out the window, see mom, see the TV screen. Life doesn't get much better! :)

Looney at Lagoon

We got some great discount passes to Lagoon through Seth's Company so we decided to go with some family. Mark and Cindy and their kids went and we met up with them later in the day. It was a blast. We stayed late and enjoyed cooler temperatures, shorter lines, and beautiful lights. Lagoon is one of our favorite things to do in the summer.
Chloe got her first taste of a ride on her own this time. She was LOVING the whale ride. Her giggles were so cute and loud! James was such a good big brother to go with her!

I wish I could say....

....that this is the only time I've caught her sneaking leftovers from under her chair, but sadly it's not. New goal, sweep after every meal! :)

Kearn's Most Outstanding Citizen

Our dear friend Sandy was elected as Kearn's Most Outstanding Citizen, their Hometown Hero. It couldn't have fallen upon anyone more sweet, kind, and thoughtful. She has always been so good to us and everyone around her.
She invited us to come to the party/dinner the city was putting on where she would receive her award. The best thing about it all was that she didn't even know she was a canidate. A friend of hers nominated her and when the city heard of all that she does they called her up to let her know that she had taken the title.
We had a great time being there with her. The boys brought her flowers and big hugs for the occasion.
After that it was bye-bye Sandy, and hello pirate party. They put on a good show. It was full of great food, treats, games and prizes, and fun. the boys had fun meeting Jack Sparrow, playing on the Black Pearl, and going crazy on all the huge jumpys. It was a fun night.
Saturday morning was the city parade. We got up early, snuggled up in our jammies, ate donuts, and got a great spot for the parade. Sandy got to be in the parade. It was fun to see her!

A New Decade for Dad

Seth finally joined me in the 30 club. We had a fun and simple birthday party for him. My mom of course came up and made him the best possible birthday cake ever...out of his favorite...donuts.
The boys and I had fun getting some Star Wars toys together to make it a Star Wars party. (I love having some partners in crime with me!) Chloe didn't get into the decorating, but she was all about helping to eat the cake. She was loving getting to eat some donuts.
I finally took Seth's advice and didn't get him anything, and it's a good thing because he ended up getting "a man cave". (Pictures coming soon!) :)

Local Transportation

The Trax now comes to our area. They kids were so excited about riding the "electric train" on the very first day. We didn't have anywhere to go and I think that was the most fun of it.
We're most excited about this since we will now be able to ride it downtown and to the airport. So convenient!

Farm Fun with Friends

Once again we got great family passes from Seth's company to great places around the valley. We decided that since we got Thanksgiving Point passes this year that we would use the passes to take some friends with us and make a Family Night activity out of it. So we had a great dinner at Zupas and then headed off to the farm.
The best part about it, other than being out as a family with good friends, was that there was NO ONE there. It was all to us. The kids had a great time running around petting animals, going on the wagon ride, and riding the ponies.

Extended "T" Family Party

One of my cousins on my Dad's side was getting married, and some of my other cousins were in town too, so my parents through together a get to together (a killer ice cream social) so we could all get reaquainted with one another. With having 10 siblings, I didn't really get to know my cousins very well. It doesn't help that they are all way older than me...their kids are my age...So this was a great time to get to know them and see what they are up to.
My dad (a man after my own heart) had great name tags for everyone that were color-coded as to which child of my Grandparents they came from. Seth, when seeing how his name was in (), joked that he was offended, so my brother Mark didn't just erase them, he had to put my name in them! :) My dad, when using the chart, didn't even notice! It was so funny.
My mom had me cut out the word "family" to put all over the tables. I thought it was such and cute idea. I hope I remember that one for future parties.
